Adult DBT Group
MCG offers an Adult DBT Group on Tuesdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm run by Betsy Harris, LICSW.
This group covers the essentials of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in a classroom-like structure where skills are taught in the areas of Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Mindfulness and Distress Tolerance. We also integrate aspects of Walking the Middle Path. We follow Marsha Linehan’s DBT Group protocol and use her manual. Our program is 24 weeks long and includes 4, 6 week long modules.
To join the group or for questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Before joining the group, each prospective group member undergoes a 1-2 session intake with the group therapist. Group members can join during the following start dates:
August 6, 2019
September 17, 2019
October 29, 2019
This is a self-pay group and members are charged a flat rate per module. Each module is paid for in advance. Members must be in individual therapy simultaneously to the group but are not required to have a DBT therapist. Please inquire about the potential for adding on DBT phone coaching to your group membership.
