Parent DBT Skills Workshops

Our workshops in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are designed for parents and families who seek to support their child in using DBT skills as well as for parents who wish to increase their own use of DBT skills. DBT is most effective for adolescents when their parents/guardians are concurrently learning and practicing DBT skills. These workshops compliment adolescent DBT by providing four, monthly workshops which examine each of the main areas of DBT. These are: Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Mindfulness, and Distress Tolerance. We also integrate aspects of Walking the Middle Path, using Marsha Linehan’s DBT Group Manual and Alex Miller and Jill Rathus’ DBT Skills Manual for Adolescents

Current Offerings:

Orientation and Mindfulness

Interpersonal Effectiveness/Walking the Middle Path

Distress Tolerance
