Dr. Creedon is a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinical Psychologist who has several distinctive areas of expertise providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy, exposure with response/ritual prevention for anxiety/OCD, PTSD treatment, parent guidance and couples therapy. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure with Ritual/Response Prevention (Ex/RP) for OCD- and anxiety-related disorders, DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE) and DBT-PTSD for trauma, DBT-C, and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) are some of the treatments that she provides. Dr. Creedon offers goal-directed, evidenced-based interventions with a warm, genuine, and direct style.
Dr. Creedon has extensive experience in treating teens and adults with a broad range of presenting problems, including borderline personality disorder, PTSD, anxiety disorders (like generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and OCD), and eating disorders. Additionally, Dr. Creedon often works with parents for parent guidance work of children, teens, and young adults. Her parent work is informed by DBT and SPACE. She is also an experienced couples and family therapist in thrives in helping high conflict or avoidant family members meet their relationship goals. Finally, Dr. Creedon is conversationally fluent in Spanish. From living in Latin America and studying multicultural theory and practice, she has developed a niche in treating individuals from diverse backgrounds. She values seeing and supporting diversity, exploring culture and ethnicity, and places high importance on being LGBTQIA+ affirming.
Dr. Creedon received a B.A. from Bates College and a Master of Arts and Doctorate in Psychology from William James College (formerly The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology). She completed her APA pre-doctoral internship at a clinical pre-doctoral internship in Psychology at South Shore Mental Health and McLean Southeast/Harvard Medical School and a post-doctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital's/Harvard Medical School Klarman Eating Disorders Center. Dr. Creedon held a 12 year appointment as a Lecturer, Part-Time in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Prior to MCG, Dr. Creedon was a Staff Psychologist at McLean's 3East DBT Adolescent Outpatient Clinic Program and Partial Hospital Program.
