Amy earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Vermont. She completed her practicum at the University of Vermont Catamount Clinic and Appletree Bay Primary Care in Burlington, VT. She went on to intern at the Champlain College Counseling Center and the UVM Center on Rural Addiction. Amy previously worked as a therapist for people with comorbid Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Opioid Use Disorder, and has experience working with people with a wide variety of diagnoses including Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and ADHD.

Amy uses a variety of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She believes in the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship and strives to create a compassionate and nonjudgmental space. Amy has experience working with queer and trans folks and strives to provide affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care.
